Do you have a passion for helping people?

Looking for a volunteer gig that fits your busy schedule?

Want to do something that actually makes a DIFFERENCE?

If you answered “YES!” to any of these questions, then Jane Doe’s volunteer program may be for you!

Jane Doe is making a difference in our community by offering legal services to survivors of sexual violence on a sliding-fee scale. This means that when someone has been sexually abused, they have the ability to speak with a lawyer, regardless of their income level. There is no other organization in the country that provides such a service to survivors.

But we can’t do it without your help.

Actual legal services must be performed by licensed attorneys. Most of our volunteers do not work in our office. Instead, they work on their own schedule to help survivors reach a point of long term safety and security. You can do this by running your own fundraiser anytime of the year.

At Jane Doe, we believe that all survivors who want to speak with a lawyer should be able to. Here’s what your fundraiser can accomplish:

Every $200 raised allows a survivor to access a lawyer, ask questions, and make a long-term plan of action.

Every $500 raised helps a survivor get an order of protection (“restraining order”) against his/her abuser.

Every $1500 raised helps an adult survivor get through a case in court.

Every $2500 raised helps a child have a lawyer of their own when they are caught in the middle of a legal battle.

Yes, it really is that simple!
